Sadly, there will not be a Fair in the Square this year.

After 17 years of bringing joy, music and hamburgers to our community, CCF, alongside our partner VCC, has made the difficult decision to pause Fair in the Square this year due to temporary restrictions related to the soccer World Cup. We are deeply grateful to the many volunteers, donors and sponsors who have made this event possible over the years. We look forward to welcoming you back to Fair in the Square. Keep an eye out for updates about 2027!

A message from VCC: our co-host

Vancouver Community College is delighted to partner with Central City Foundation for the annual Fair in the Square event.

VCC is committed to building a fair, equitable, and inclusive community for everyone. We are a proud partner of Fair in the Square, a celebration that brings us together and reflects the diversity and vibrancy of our city and the residents of the DTES.

WHAT IS FAIR IN THE SQUARE?

Central City Foundation and our partners at Vancouver Community College are so grateful to host this wonderful annual event, which provides a much-needed opportunity for all of us to connect with our community while celebrating the vibrancy and resilience of our inner city. In 2025, our 17th annual Fair in the Square brought together people from various parts of the city to connect with our inner city neighbours and with the non-profit agencies that are doing amazing work in the community, as well as to enjoy some great live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, an artisan market and free BBQ, cupcakes, watermelon and coffee. Each year, more than 3,000 people join us in Victory Square Park to connect, celebrate and build hope.
